Ubisoft confirms that Assassin's Creed has gone gold ahead of a release on November 16th...
Arguably one of the most anticipated titles for Holiday 2007, Ubisoft has today confirmed that Assassin's Creed has been completed and attained 'gold' status ahead of a release on Xbox 360 and PS3 from November 16th.
The game is based largely in the late 12th Century and follows an assassin by the name of Altair, Arabic for 'The Flying One', as he tracks down and kills nine key figures in the contemporary Holy Land.
"We've been working very hard for nearly four years to make Assassin's Creed a reality and now there is a confirmed date when players will get to experience the results of our efforts," shared Jade Raymond, producer of Assassin's Creed. "This is a huge event for the team. Our biggest reward will be everyone having a lot of good solid fun."

Also, even if the comment wasn't spot-on, then it hardly makes its writer a "complete and utter failure in life". That's a little harsh, don't you think? They might be really good at tiddlywinks or something.

I think it's a very apt comment. The original Assassin's Creed focussed on stunning visuals and lavish presentation, but completely forgot about putting an enjoyable game experience.
Thankfully they hugely improved upon it for the sequel.

This game is a perfect example of what is wrong with game development in this era of next-generation consoles. All the time and money is spent on graphics, neglecting the development of gameplay. Repetively tedious and tediously repetitive, this game is an absolute insult to the consumer and gamer. The developers should not be rewarded for producing this abomination. Don't buy it.
