Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot reveals that the publisher's undisclosed Wii U Assassin's Creed title is "For the future"...
The undisclosed title for Ubisoft's Wii U Assassin's Creed game has been plunged further into mystery this morning as it's emerged that the project isn't, despite what many commentators had expected, a port of Assassin's Creed Revelations.
In an interview with Aftonbladet (translated by Eurogamer), Ubisoft's CEO, Yves Guillemot said, "No, not Revelations. For the future," when he was asked whether the Wii U game would be a port of this year's Assassin's Creed for Xbox 360 and PS3.
The site then pushed him for more details, asking whether the Wii U game was linked to a supposed Assassin's Creed III project. "I can't tell you that," Guillemot responded.
Clearly there's some ambiguity in the quote "For the future", although it's likely Guillemot is merely saying that more details will be announced in future. In our minds though, this leaves two possibilities:
- It could be a port of an earlier Assassin's Creed title that'll be a launch game for the Wii U.
- It'll be whatever multi-format Assassin's Creed game Ubisoft has pegged for a 2012 release.

I was hoping for a new protaganist and new time period. I think one of the best locales would be France during the 1700's. The game would have guns, but they wouldn't be that dangerous as today, because flintlocks were oneshot-reload weapons. I think it work well with the rise of the firearm, and swords were still being used at the time. France also some of the best architecture in the world.(for those who don't know the eiffel tower was not around then). So please Ubisoft listen to these ideas.
