A new teaser video points towards a mysterious date and landmark...
Ubisoft has released a new teaser video for its next Assassin's Creed game (believed to be titled Assassin's Creed Revelations), revealing an Istanbul landmark and the date 24th June, 1459 (see image right).
This could, of course, mean anything. Suggestions of a June 24th reveal for the game appear unrealistic as Assassin's Creed Revelations will almost certainly be formally announced at the start of next month during E3.
The landmark in the vid (embedded below) is the Hafia Sophia, which is now a museum in Istanbul (previously a Roman basilica and Mosque). Precisely how this ties in with previous Assassin's Creed locations such as Jerusalem, Venice, and Rome remains unclear.
Earlier teasing from videos that Ubisoft released yesterday appears to indicate that Altair, the protagonist from the original Assassin's Creed game in 2007, may be returning to the lead role for this fourth instalment.
More as we get it...

I was hoping for a new protaganist and new time period. I think one of the best locales would be France during the 1700's. The game would have guns, but they wouldn't be that dangerous as today, because flintlocks were oneshot-reload weapons. I think it work well with the rise of the firearm, and swords were still being used at the time. France also some of the best architecture in the world.(for those who don't know the eiffel tower was not around then). So please Ubisoft listen to these ideas.
