Midway confirm that PC gamers won’t be missing out on the conspiracy in April 2005...

PC gamers can today rejoice in the knowledge that Midway’s forthcoming FPS Area 51 will be released simultaneously with the console versions in April 2005. Featuring the vocal talents of X-Files actor David Duchovny (who just can’t seem to evade extraterrestrials) and so-called ‘Shock’ Rocker Marilyn Manson, Area 51 follows the infiltration of the US Armed Forces worst kept secret after the military receives a distress call from the base, situated in Nevada.

Besides the conspiracy based narrative, all three versions will allow for up 16 players to fight in a series of online experiences including the standard fare of Deathmatches and Capture the Flag modes.

Announcing the PC release, Steve Allison, Chief Marketing Officer at Midway said, "Midway is committed to expanding the breadth of its product line to encompass the PC games sector…Simultaneously introducing all three SKUs will enable us to effectively maximize our marketing efforts and create a high-level of consumer awareness at launch."
