UK publisher introduces a new payment scheme behind the forthcoming MMO, ArchLord...

Codemasters Online Gaming today revealed a "revolutionary" new payment system behind the forthcoming MMO, ArchLord.

From what we can gather the PlayPlus system widens the amount of payment options on offer to the player, with subscription packages that include both game time and in-game bonus credits. Credits can be used to access bonus in-game items and benefits, such as teleportation spells, health boosts and many others - "Congratulations you've reached Level 3 that will be £2.50!"

The PlayPlus system will be available in multiple packages, with an entry level costing $9.99/9.99 euros/£6.99, which includes a credit allowance towards initial items and enhancements. The full options available are listed below:

Squire ($9.99/9.99 euros/£6.99) 1,500 in-game points 1 Month Knight ($19.99/19.99 euros/£13.49) 3,400 in-game points 1 Month Lord ($39.99/39.99 euros/£27.49) 8,000 in-game points 1 Month

Codemasters stress that the items purchased using the in-game credits are additional to those acquired using the standards in-game currency, with regular items, weapons, amour, potions and mounts still freely available - a way for the rich to show off it seems, a virtual class system of a different nature where the game rewards paying rather than playing!
