Recently released in Japan, Capcom's fourth chapter in the courtroom drama becomes the latest hit DS title...

The success of Ace Attorney in the courtroom continues to surprise as Capcom today confirmed that shipments of the fourth title in the series (the first to be developed specifically for the DS) have passed 500,000 in the first week.

Using nothing but your wits and deductive skills, the Ace Attorney series has surpassed 2 million sales since the first title made an unassuming entrance on the GameBoy Advance back in 2001. The latest title finds a new protagonist replacing Phoenix Wright, along with puzzles that make greater use of the DS features.

With the third title in the series shaping up for a European release towards the end of the year, we'd expect it will be a little longer until Ace Attorney fans get their chance to check out the drama of the latest instalment.
