Nintendo finally lifts the lid on Animal Crossing for Wii and reveals WiiSpeak...
After much backslapping and celebrating of sales figures, Nintendo has finally cut to the chase with the announcement that Animal Crossing is finally heading to Wii.
Dubbed Animal Crossing City Folk, the Wii title is due before the end of the year and switches the non-objective game to a city environment packed full of shops, a beauty salon, and an academy to discover.
Incorporating Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection support, Wii owners will be able to visit friends' cities, trading and competing in competitions.
The game will also usher in the introduction of the WiiSpeak peripheral, a microphone perched on top of the sensor bar that allows Wii users to communicate across the globe.

Animal Crossing City Folk does not feature Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection support, further information clarifies that you wonâ??t be able to see other friends in your city. Instead, WiiConnect24 allows players to bid on friendsâ?? items and visiting the Happy Room Academy to see the top-rated home.
