Microsoft Announce Amped 2 News

At the VANS North American Snowboarding Championship, Microsoft Game Studios announced Amped 2; sequel to the hit snowboarding simulator released alongside the Xbox.<br><br>Microsoft confirmed that the game will feature Xbox Live! support, allowing players to track stats, trade replays, download new content and of course challenge each other to become King of the Mountain.<br><br>The game features new aerial and rail-slide tricks, whilst also introducing the new ‘butter’ combo system; certainly sounds intriguing. Microsoft are promising massively improved visuals, to showcase such effects as cloud drifting accurately around the mountain surface to snow building up on your clothes after a crash!<br><br>The career mode has been extended with three levels of media challenges; photos, photo sequences and video demo reels. The sequel will include a number of real-life locations such as Switzerland’s Laax resort and Mt. Buller in Australia.<br><br>The excellent range of music from the original is set to return, with over 300 new tracks from a range of up-and-coming indie artists.<br><br>Amped 2 is scheduled for release towards the end of 2003; we’ll have more information and the first screens shortly…
