Earthquakes, zombies, fires, and terror attacks all set for LA in 2006 thanks to none other than American McGee...

Developer and Publisher, Enlight has today announced the development of American McGee Presents Bad Day In L.A., which is set for release in the first quarter 2006. Set in Los Angeles (the clue was in the title), Bad Day is said to, â??â?¦plunge the player into a deep and comedic storyline that plays off the "fear culture" of modern America with a tongue-in-cheek comedic twistâ?¦[It] will satirize the City of Angels and disaster films while combining a fantastical art style, groundbreaking collaborative gameplay elements and a heavy dose of dark satire to create a truly unforgettable experience.â?

The game follows the adventures of Anthony Williams (former Hollywood agent) who turns from homeless bum to the cityâ??s saviour as he battles the forces that invade the city that he hates and itâ??s citizens who he loathes. The game has been visually styled by LA-design team Kozyndan, giving it, â??â?¦an unmistakable and totally unique look and feel.â?

In the statement, American McGee, Executive Producer of Bad Day commented that, "'Bad Day L.A.' will give gamers a one-of-a-kind experience -- from the astonishing graphical art style to the atypical storyline featuring zombies, earthquakes, fires and terrorist attacks, to the reluctant and cynical politically incorrect hero -- those who play it will never forget itâ?¦'Bad Day L.A.' features awesome combat, a variety of mission scenarios, and a main character whose constant cynical wisecracking and 'every man for himself' attitude make him one of the most hilarious and politically incorrect game 'heroes' to date. 'Bad Day L.A.' is sure to offend half of America while giving the other half a much-needed escape from their everyday fears."

Weâ??ll have more on Bad Day in L.A. shortly...
