British based Supersonic Entertainment to bring American McGee's satirical disaster title to the UK and Europe...

Currently in development at Enlight Software ahead of a release during the fourth quarter of 2006, American McGee Presents Bad Day LA has finally found a publisher for the UK and European territories in the form of videogame newcomer Supersonic Entertainment.

Set in Los Angeles (somewhat obvious given its title), the game follows the adventures of a former Hollywood agent turned homeless man as the city falls victim to any number of incidents and disasters. A satire, McGee has said that Bad Day LA reflects the culture of fear currently being felt across the United States.

Speaking about the game McGee said, "In simple terms, 'Bad Day LA' is every blockbuster disaster film funneled into one insane day as experienced from the perspective of the world's ultimate politically incorrect antihero."

We are absolutely thrilled to have such a strong title as 'Bad Day:LA to launch our operation in Europe," said Supersonic Groups' CEO Mark Maitland "Bad Day:LA' represents all of the qualities that fans love of gaming, we are making history by distributing a product that many others are not comfortable with due to events in the world. We are equally delighted to be working with such a dedicated group Enlight Software -- they have the strength to ensure that the title will be of top class and we can't wait for the public to see it.

'The Supersonic Group was a perfect partner to publish Bad Day: LA in Europe' said Trevor Chan, Chairman of Enlight Software. 'Supersonic are a breath of fresh air for the industry with their films and games; the enthusiasm they have shown for the product was a key decision in choosing them as a partner and one which we feel will take the game to where it should be. Bad Day: LA is unique an innovative and we feel that it will be a major success. The interest we have had has been phenomenal and we hope for this to continue'

American McGee Presents: Bad Day LA will be released on Xbox and PC towards the end of the year; we'll have more news shortly...
