Microsoft grant themselves the right to scan your Xbox just in case you’ve got a mod-chip hiding in there somewhere…

Signing up for Xbox Live! will grant Microsoft the right to scan for and block those who’ve chipped their Xbox machines in order to play imported and pirated titles. The 14-page End User License Agreement (EULA), states that: <br /> <br /> “Xbox Live may only be accessed with an unmodified, except for Microsoft authorised repairs and upgrades, Xbox video game console. Any attempt to disassemble, decompile, create derivative works of, reverse engineer, modify, further sublicense, distribute or use for other purposes either the hardware or software of this system is strictly prohibited.” <br /> <br /> So for those of you wishing to take part in the online revolution make sure to keep your system clean, otherwise you may find yourself being left out… <br />
