Publisher launches 'Sinister Sightings' competition in the run up to the launch of Alone in the Dark...

Atari has today launched the 'Sinister Sightings' competition, with an Xbox 360 up for grabs, in the run up to the summer release of Alone in the Dark.

The competition requires entrants to send in their very own photos of creepy or sinister happenings in parks, and is open to gamers across the US, Europe, and Australia. A weekly winner will receive an original soundtrack CD of the new look survival horror title. Photos can be submitted to the official Alone in the Dark website at CentralDark.com.

News of the competition - which ends on June 26th - comes just days after Atari revealed a June 20th launch date for Alone on the Dark on Xbox 360, with the PlayStation 3 version due to follow later in the year.

A series of tech demo videos showing off the game's impressive real-world physics engine have been released in past weeks, detailing how combinations of every day items and fire can be used as makeshift weapons.

Alone in the dark 2 is actually worse than its predecessor,its an insult to anyone with more than 1 brain cell and will make anyone who buys it very angry that they've forked out £40 for it.
