Atari: No Delay to Alone In The Dark News

Reports that a new delay has hit the Eden Games survival-horror are denied by a UK spokesperson for the publisher...

Alone in the Dark

Originally scheduled for release during the tail-end of 2007 before getting pushed to an Easter launch, reports today suggested that Atari had again delayed Alone in the Dark, this time to September.

In a short statement to TVG this evening however, an Atari UK spokesperson denied the reports, and dismissed them as 'rumours'. Test Drive: Unlimited developers Eden Games are currently helming the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions of the game, which was first confirmed back at X05 in 2005.

The game, which will also be heading to PlayStation 2 and Wii courtesy of ObsCure developers Hydravision, sees Edward Carnaby uncover pure evil from within the boundaries of New York City's Central Park.

Is it me, or are games getting worse as the consles get better? Alone in the dark 2 is actually worse than its predecessor, its an insult to anyone with more than 1 brain cell and will make anyone who buys it very angry that they've forked out £40 for it.
