Alone In The Dark Delayed But Dated News

A late June release now pencilled in for definite (hopefully) by Atari and Eden Studios...

It's one of our most anticipated titles of 2008, however we're beginning to wish Atari and Eden Studios would stop delaying Alone in the Dark - we just can't wait anymore.

Originally scheduled for release last year, Alone in the Dark was recently the subject of a push into May during a well publicised interview with the then Chairman and CEO Patrick Leleu in the French newspaper Les Echos.

That's slipped again however, with confirmation today arriving that Alone in the Dark will now launch on June 20th across Europe, followed by the US release on June 24th. No word on whether this includes the PS3 version, which is currently running behind the Xbox 360 build.

Once again the reason has been attributed to extra time for Eden Studios to deliver the best possible experience, which certainly can't be a bad thing given the way it's shaping up. [UPDATE] Atari has since confirmed that the PS3 version will follow later in the year.

Alone in the dark 2 is actually worse than its predecessor,its an insult to anyone with more than 1 brain cell and will make anyone who buys it very angry that they've forked out £40 for it.
