DX11 support will bring a lot of visual benefits to the PC version of AvP that the console versions can't handle...

Speaking to TVG at an Aliens vs. Predator event in London last week, Rebellion revealed that its incoming AvP reboot will look better on the PC platform with DX11 support than the game's other consoles versions.

When we asked whether DX11 support was allowing Rebellion to do things on PC that it can't on consoles, AvP's Senior Producer, David Brickley told us, "Performance wise, there's no question - yes. It's incredible and we've had a lot of support from the hardware manufacturers as well in order to get the cards early enough to see what they can do. What's been announced so far, obviously in terms of tessellation for one thing, is way beyond what you're able to implement on the current crop of consoles."

"If your desire and need as a PC gamer is to be at the absolute cutting edge," continued Brickley, "then that's what we have to offer on the PC platform - that justification for all of the money you've spent."

Does this mean that the PC version will be the looker of the bunch? "I don't think we're diminishing the others by saying that," Brickley told us. "I mean, this is a fact if it's far beyond anything you'd get on a television..."

"You get what you pay for don't you?" he added.

We'll see, but it's going to take something monumental to rival MW2's online population.
