Aliens vs. Predator gets a February 19th release date when it will be launched across three separate editions...
Rebellion's Aliens vs. Predator will be unleashed in the UK on February 19th across three separate editions (Standard, Survivor, and Hunter), which include a facehugger maquette and multiplayer maps amongst their larval sacks of bountiful goodness.
The Hunter edition comes with the most goodies, including the previously mentioned code for multiplayer maps and facehugger figure as well as a Weyland-Yutani badge and 3D lenticular postcard. SEGA's Survivor edition, on the other hand, simply contains the multiplayer maps code.
"Aliens vs. Predator is the first title to be released in our partnership with Fox for the Aliens franchise, and it reinforces our commitment to provide high quality gaming for the core market," said SEGA Europe's Marketing Director, Gary Knight.
"The team at Rebellion have been true to the Aliens and Predator universes and created a title that allows gamers to experience all the tension and excitement of the Aliens and Predator movies."

Sure, there are a lot of people playing MW2, but there still plenty of gamers to go around. If AvP's multiplayer is good enough and the game sells enough copies, then there'll be people playing online for to keep the servers busy. After all, the multiplayer population of the original AvP was pretty resilient.

Mw2's population will drive this game to a botemless pit.The issue is driving my friends and me crazy.

I actually get more impressed the mor eI see of this game - hopefulyl it can rekindle the terror of the original AvP (not Jaguar version, PC)

It should do better than Turok in the multiplayer stakes I reckon. AvP games have a long running fan-base for their multiplayer thanks to the earlier titles and there seem to be some interesting modes and features for each character class in the new game. It'll still come nowhere near MW2's multiplayer population though. Nothing will for a while yet...

im going to pre-order this game but freeradical is right it'll probably have the same online population as xbox360's latest Turok which as well in my opinion was awesome.this game will be great.

We'll see, but it's going to take something monumental to rival MW2's online population.
