Alien Resurrection was originally slated for a release last year, but was delayed, then trashed, then re-designed and FROM its original third person format INTO a first person Quake style adventure.
The PlayStation which at the moment is showing its age, however we will all be in for a real treat when this one hits the shops very soon. We received our copy a while ago and it's non stop action all the way. It will give your copy of Resident Evil: Nemesis a run for its money on the scary, and crap your pants aspect. You have been warned do not read if you get easily scared.

Resurrection is based on the films plot so you begin as Ripley, with both humans and aliens trying to take you down (she really is in a no win situation). At first it doesn't seam fair what so ever. Aliens will climb the walls and ceilings, and run towards you at stupidly fast speeds. Once they're on you you've got seconds to live. That is of course if you don't come up with some super move that would make Arnie look lame.

Alien Resurrection is filled with fear and lots of blood and guts. The only other titles that spring to mind that are like this are Resident Evil and System Shock, both
excellent games. If you play the game during the day for at least half an hour you can guarantee it will make you jump. Turn the lights off and play at night and you'd better go get another set of pants. The Lights will flicker, distant screaming and scratching on metal, the tip tatting gets closer, but still no enemies, suddenly, Mr. Alien kisses you on your cheek and you know it's time to cack your pants.

Comments
Alien Resurrection is an astonishing game, one that needs to be celebrated again and again. The developers have gone to town with this one, everything about it seams perfect. Make sure you buy this one at your local video game shop and if you don't, well you're just crazy.
