The US publisher re-issues several titles over Valve's digital distribution service...

Majesco Entertainment has announced a deal with Valve that will see it distribute several of its previous titles over the Half-Life2 developer's Steam service.

Priced at $19.99 each, Advent Rising and BloodRayne 2 are available from today on the service, joined by the original BloodRayne for $9.99. October will see the release of Psychonauts over Steam.

"Steam's position as a leading digital download platform, particularly among enthusiast gamers, is unrivaled," said Daniel Hofbauer, business development director at Majesco. "We believe there is a great opportunity to extend the reach of our brands via digital distribution and are pleased to offer our titles to Steam's audience."

"With a growing number of active gamers connected to Steam, we are able to provide a much longer tail for games than traditionally provided" said Jason Holtman, director of business development at Valve. "As we work to expand the services and products offered via Steam, we continue to seek quality offerings such as the Majesco titles, which we added to the Steam library of games today."

Majesco pulled out of the premium games market earlier in the year, the result of which was a massive drop in losses compared to previous financial periods.

We'll have more news shortly...

Alright I found it. Majesco collapsed after Advent and Psychonauts, its stock lost 47% in one day, the shareholders sued, and several major board members quit, and the company almost went bankrupt. When it was recovered from the ashes, they changed their target audience to a younger market, making games like "cooking mama". If we're lucky they'll sell the rights to another publisher.

I love a good story line and a good shooter, this title is CLEARY at least a 9/10. 7/10 needs to be reconsidered, it doesn't seem as though this was thought out properly. AND YES, when will there be Advent Rising 2 ?!?!?!?!
