VU release more details about hip-hop artist 50 Cent’s forthcoming videogame debut...

Vivendi-Universal has today released more details about 50 Cent: Bulletproof, which stars the artist born as Curtis Jackson. The somewhat fantastical and over-the-top storyline is as follows: 50 Cent is caught up in a world of double-crosses as he follows a bloody path across New York City, taking on the Big Apple’s crime families before uncovering what has been described as “…an international conspiracy with devastating implications.”

The script and storyline has been penned by Emmy Award-Winner and Sopranos Executive Producer, Terry Winter, who has also drafted the screenplay for 50 Cent’s forthcoming motion-picture debut in “Get Rich or Die Tryin”.

Describing the game, the man himself commented that, “In everything I do, I play to win…I’m out to destroy the competition and my video game is no different. It’s a fantasy version of my life. I plan to shake up the video game world like I did the rap world – I’m pulling no punches with my game.”

Everything he touches turns to gold – music, movies, clothes, cars, watches,” said Bruce Hack, CEO of Vivendi Universal Games. “We are thrilled to collaborate with 50 Cent and Interscope Records in a video game debut that will deliver extraordinary music, exciting game play, and best of all, 50 Cent.”

The game will be formally unveiled at this year’s E3 expo in May before an expected release date in Late 2005, we’ll have more bulletproof news on 50 Cent videogame debut shortly.
