World Cup tie-in coming to a variety of formats with the first online World Cup tournament...

It's a world cup year, which obviously means a bumper year for EA with the announcement of 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa for the PlayStation3, Xbox 360, Wii, and PSP.

Featuring the 199 clubs that competed during the qualifying stages, players will be able to take a team through the initial qualifying groups and ultimately to the World Cup final, where all 10 of the official SouthAfrica stadiums will make an appearance.

In addition, 2010 FIFA World Cup boasts the first ever online recreation of the tournament where players can carry the hopes and dreams of a nation into battle against fans from rival countries, from the group stage through the knockout rounds to the chance to be crowned 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa champion.

I think it is so freaking stupid how you can't create a plyer. Only in Captain your country can you do it. That stinks. Otherwise it is a good game.

Bought it today, Good game, although £40 price was abit of a hurdle to get over.. i'd enjoy playing it alot more if it was a little cheaper.

imo, they should release the changes in gameplay for people who are playing fifa 10 and are fed up with silly little bugs and problems..

can't wait for fifa 11 though. till then we'll have to put up with the annoying little problems in fifa 10. probably end up playing fifa 10 more than the world cup one anyway :D

It's good, it'll tide you over till FIFA 11...  But then get forgotten pretty quickly soon after.

Fifa 10 is fantastic, so I'm looking forward to this, even if its not FIFA 11.
